Miss Adventure, R/C Flyer Class Hydroplane Racing Boat
Posted by Ed Fry on 12/12/2022 to
Miss Adventure is an outstanding model of a mahogany-constructed Flyer class racing hydroplane from the 1930s. The full-scale beauty was only 13-1/2 feet long, sported a 91.5 cubic inch engine, and was capable of speeds over 45 MPH. It must have

Building the MA1050 Model Airways Fokker Eindecker E-IV 1:16 Scale kit
Posted by Ed Fry on 9/27/2021 to
I spent a few enjoyable months building the Eindecker model and should you decide to tackle the kit, here are some observations you may find interesting. The first thing you notice about this excellent kit is the exceptional number of metal parts – a total of 111 different Britannia cast metal parts, plus other brass bolts, nuts, and tubing, in addition to the laser-cut wood and other materials. The builder needs to identify all the Britannia metal parts to know where they go, and this is not always straightforward using only the relatively small photos in the instruction manual and the “Assembled Views” plan sheets. This is where the Parts List comes in – be sure to keep it handy because it’s the one reference that provides the name and associated part number for each part. Using the Parts List, you can find the part number for each part named in the instruction manual, and then find that part number on the “Parts Layout & Color Guide” plan sheet to see exactly what it looks like.

Which Kit Should I Get?

Which Kit Should I Get? The best advice on which ship model kit to get is - get the one that won’t overwhelm and frustrate you, that you will finish, and that you will have felt challenged and proud of when it’s done. But how do you know, if
The Building of the Revell of Germany SCHLOSS NEUSCHWANTSTEIN 3D PUZZLE

Having been intrigued by this castle the first time I saw it, I knew when this 3D puzzle arrived I would have to build it. I must say this is something very different then my usual build of plastic models, but I figured what the hell I will give it a try and if I screw it up I will never talk about it again.

Famous buildings and sights are perfect as three-dimensional puzzle motifs. Colosseum, Statue of Liberty or Burj Al Arab - Revell's detailed 3D replicas take puzzle lovers and curious explorers on a world tour. Particularly demanding inventors opt for skyline replicas. The Revell range includes city views of London, Paris and New York. No one will be surprised that Revell, a renowned manufacturer of model kits, also offers attractive puzzle motifs for technology fans. How about a replica of the legendary RMS Titanic, for example? The red double-decker buses that are on the road in London are also very popular.

Selecting Fittings Sizes for Your Scale Model

Selecting Fittings Sizes for Your Scale Model The scale of a model, usually written as (for example) 1/64 or 1:64 means the ratio of the model’s size to the real-world object. If the real ship is 140 ft. long overall, a 1:64 scale model
Model Shipways Beautiful Blocks (Impressive)

Did you know that all the blocks included in European ship model kits, as well as Model Shipways kits, are made in Italy by a manufacturer who has been making the same for nearly 50 years? The blocks have an advantage in that they are cheap but frankly, we’re not so proud of them. Not because we do not manufacture them but because they are crude. |
