Fun project - easy for a first time buider

I built the Flattie as a Christmas gift for a friend. The major parts are laser cut and go together well. There is an ample amount of material provided. The simplicity of this kit provides the creative modeler with opportunities to add custom touches. I added wooden deck and stern planking using cherry strips I had left over from previous projects and clear windows for the cabin made out of a deli food container. Highly recommended for someone new to wooden ship modeling.
