COREL BERLIN GERMAN WARSHIP 1:40
Berlin, 15-Gun Warship by Corel
Plank-on-Bulkhead Wood Ship Model Kit
The frigate Berlin was built in 1674 as a 15-gun warship for the Grand Electorate of Brandenburg. She saw almost continuous action in the Mediterranean and the Baltic until 1681. She was captured by the Dutch in 1688, and never seen again.
Corel's Berlin ship model kit features single plank-on-bulkhead construction, using extra thick 9mm poplar plywood for structural parts. Planking is walnut and other wooden parts are laser-cut in beech and mahogany. Figurehead, bowsprit, stern and transom decorations, cannon and hundreds of other pieces are beautifully detailed gilded metal. Blocks, deadeyes and belaying pins are fine-grained yellow boxwood. Canvas sail material, mahogany display cradle, four sheets of plans and instruction book are also included.
